AIN'T GOT LONG TO STAY
Ain't Got long to Stay is the newest release of the University Mastersingers.
Recorded by Bill and Ellen, the two-CD set takes the men's group, made up of sixty singers from across the US, Europe and Africa through little jewel-like towns in Austria to the largest cathedrals in Italy and France.
A fun stop in Monaco has the Mastersingers chorusing with the Prince at the amphitheatre near the Palace then moving on to the breathtaking setting of Mont St. Michel in Normandy, France for a moving concert at the tall Abbaye at the top of the seacoast mountain.
The final concert was to a packed mass at resonant Notre Dame in Paris to an audience of eight thousand.
Music widely ranges from ethereal sacred pieces to rousing spirituals and brings a new perspective to the sensitivity of Conductor Bruce McInnes, now Dean of the Cleveland College of Music.
There are a very few copies of this CD available now.
