FREE TO SING

FREE to SING is the newest release of the Mastersingers USA.

In the summer of 2007 Mastersingers USA toured through Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic.  Now the sights and sounds of that tour have been captured in a unique multimedia package called Svoboda Zpevu — Free to Sing.

We take our freedoms for granted sometimes, but in countries like Slovakia and Hungary, people are still recognizing that they are no longer under totalitarian control and are rejoicing at even simple things like hearing their own national folksongs sung in churches.  Churches that, until quite recent years, were used to store farm equipment.

We saw grown men crying as they sang along with our music.

Recorded by Bill and Ellen, the DVD/CD set takes the group, made up of sixty singers from across the US, Europe and Africa to Budapest, Bratislava, Trnava, Brno, Mikulov, Ceske Krumlov and on to major concerts in Prague.
