Phil J. Ra DDS, FAGD, FICOI
Dr. Phil J. Ra, raised in Southern California, realized his childhood dream of becoming a dentist when he was accepted into the prestigious six-year Accelerated Dental Acceptance Program Tract (ADAPT) at USC right after high school. Graduating in 2000 as one of USC’s youngest DDS holders, he has since dedicated himself to continuous education, earning a Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry, showcasing his commitment to staying abreast of the latest dental techniques. Notably, he’s been recognized as one of the “Top Dentists in America” and voted “FAVORITE DENTIST OF THE INLAND EMPIRE” for seven consecutive years.
Dr. Ra is extensively involved in professional organizations like the ADA, AGD, IAOMT, and ICOI, holding fellowships in AGD and ICOI, among other certifications. Actively engaged in advancing dental knowledge, he’s served on boards, contributed to dental health articles, and participated in study clubs. His practice emphasizes Biologic Dentistry, utilizing minimally invasive and homeopathic approaches to promote overall health, including cavity re-mineralization and biocompatible materials.
In his Upland dental office, Dr. Ra employs cutting-edge technologies like digital radiography, 3D imaging, and CEREC for same-day restorations, ensuring accurate diagnoses and convenient treatments for patients. His use of CBCT technology allows for precise evaluations and guided implant surgeries with minimal discomfort. Additionally, his in-house dental laboratory ensures meticulous customization and quality control for aesthetic procedures, guaranteeing patients’ satisfaction with their smiles.
Michael Azer, DMD
Dr. Michael Azer, a Los Angeles native, earned his Bachelor of Science in Public Health from UC Irvine before obtaining his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) Degree from Western University of Health Sciences. He is dedicated to crafting beautiful smiles and enhancing oral health, prioritizing patient involvement and comfort throughout treatment.
Continuously advancing his skills, Dr. Azer pursues ongoing education in cosmetic and implant dentistry to provide cutting-edge, gentle care to his patients. Beyond dentistry, he enjoys family time, basketball, weightlifting, and exploring trendy restaurants with his wife, Lydia.
Berry Khuu, DMD
Dr. Berry Khuu is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She grew up in Massachusetts where she attended Mount Holyoke College, and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. After completing her Doctor in Dental Medicine Degree at Tufts University, Dr. Berry relocated to Atlanta, Georgia and practiced children’s dentistry in underserved ommunities for 5 years. She then continued her advanced, specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry for an additional 2 years at the prestigious Loma Linda University in California.
Dr. Berry is an active member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (COD-ABPD), American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), California Dental Association (CDA), and California Society of Pediatric Dentistry (CSPD).
Dr. Berry loves working with children and educating parents about the importance of oral health care. As a mother, she understands how important it is for parents to know that their child is in caring and competent hands. Her cheerful and kind- hearted personality helps her patients feel at ease, making their first dental experiences fun and pleasant.
In her free time, Dr. Berry enjoys spending time with her two children. She loves hot yoga, tennis, and snowboarding. Dr. Berry also enjoys photography and going on dental mission trips to different parts of the world to provide dental care for underprivileged children.
